About the Role

The Loans Consultant reports to the Branch Manager and serves as the face of Unifi, welcoming clients, guiding them through the loan process, driving branch targets and delivering a high standard of client service. The role focuses on making the lending experience simple, transparent and respectful while following responsible lending processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome every client warmly and guide them confidently through the loan process in a simple and easy-to-understand way.
• Explain products clearly and honestly so clients understand what they are signing up for.
• Capture client details accurately and ensure documentation is complete and correct.
• Handle cash, client information and records responsibly, accurately and with integrity.
• Take ownership of branch targets and contribute to a high-performance culture.
• Support collections by following up with clients respectfully and helping identify practical repayment solutions.
• Work as part of the branch team to maintain a clean, organised and efficient branch.
• Contribute positively to creating a productive and supportive working environment.
• Protect client personal information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Follow Unifi lending processes and controls, remain alert to fraud and avoid shortcuts.
• Engage with the community to help more people discover and understand Unifi products and services.
• Identify challenges, propose practical solutions and provide feedback that supports continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate Unifi values by treating people with dignity, communicating clearly, taking ownership and keeping commitments.

Requirements

• A certificate, diploma or degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Marketing or a related commercial field is advantageous.
• At least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing, sales or retail environment.
• Basic understanding of financial and credit concepts.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.
• A client-first mindset with the ability to assist people with care, urgency and dignity.
• Calm, patient and practical when working in busy environments.
• Target-driven with a strong desire to grow and achieve results.
• Self-organised, reliable and able to manage workload independently.
• Comfortable following established processes and systems accurately.

Remuneration

Basic salary with monthly performance incentives.
